The Gang, a nine member band that started in church 10 years ago. then branched out to explore their sound will be performing at the Fiji Fringe Festival this weekend the Gang performance.
The band which now consists of five members will take to stage on February 26 as well as March 1 at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
Lead Singer, Ilisoni Uluitoga in an interview with The Fiji Times said that the two days will have two very different sounds.
“Sunday will be an honorary show to give back to the community and remind ourselves where we started” Ilisoni said.
“Wednesday show will involve a lot of funk, vude, rock as well as some of our original numbers,” he said.
The 32-year-old said he is mesmerized by the amount of talent in Fiji and the Fringe Festival. allows us to celebrate the different aspects of art from live music to dance, comedy and so much more.
He also shared his challenges as a musician in Fiji and how technology has made it easier to produce and release music as well as the guidance of FIPRA.
Ilisoni will be on stage with this band mates; bass player Bill, lead guitarist Conrad, keyboard player Isaac and their drummer Tomasi.
