Contributed by Benjamin Wheeler.Udo Kier has been in some of my favourite films, from the ultra violent and surreal western Bacurau a couple of years ago, to the frankly ludicrous Iron Sky movies. You might remember his turn in Ace Ventura, or perhaps – going way back – Suspiria…
Needless to say he’s something of a badass who’s made over 200 movies, and now he’s in this hilariously funny, tender, and pretty pretty camp story of a hairdresser escaping his retirement home to style one of his former clients for her funeral.
That’s all you need to know. Just watch it and thank me later.
