Attorney-General Siromi Turaga says prison inmates have been engaged in a range of integrated activities and programs designed to equip them with valuable skills and perspectives.
He said the programs extended their reach beyond incarceration, fostering an environment that supports individuals on their journey back into their communities.
“The Yellow Ribbon Project doesn’t stop there,” Mr Turaga said during the launch of the Mataka Vou Art Exhibition at the Grand Pacific Hotel on Tuesday night.
“By focusing on rehabilitation, we are not only addressing the needs of those who have made mistakes but also contributing to the creation of a safer and more compassionate society.
“The Yellow Ribbon Project is a testament to the belief that everyone deserves a second chance, and through concerted efforts, we can break the cycle of re-offending.”
